About
Harlowton Faith Chapel
History
Harlowton Faith Chapel is a rural church located in Harlowton, Montana that is affiliated with the Assemblies of God denomination. We believe that God has uniquely placed us here in Wheatland County to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and offer freedom, healing, and hope in Jesus Christ. We are a place where followers of Jesus can grow in their faith, freedom, fruit, and feel like a Family. The church started in the Spring of 1977 where a group of local people met to discuss the possibility of founding an Assemblies of God church. A nearby Assembly of God pastor in Ryegate began holding services in several locations, until on January 9, 1979, the church officially joined the Assemblies of God. By April 15 of that same year, the church held its first service in the their newly constructed church building on Easter Sunday. On March 4, 2001 a church addition was dedicated debt-free. The church is conveniently located across from the Bair Memorial Clinic in Harlowton and welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.
Our Pastoral Team
Pastor Jerrod Williams and his wife Kristi started ministry here at Faith Chapel in November of 2016. Jerrod grew up in Havre, Montana, while Kristi grew up in Deer Park, Washington. They met while attending Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota where they both earned degrees in ministry. They were married in 1997 and raised two daughters (now grown), Aubrey and Breanna. Kristi enjoys teaching, crafts, and working with young people through the local County Extension Office. Jerrod enjoys music, computers, and living in a rural setting. He also loves to see people get excited about the things of God and grow in their faith. Kristi and Jerrod have been honored to serve in the pastorate of various locations in Montana, Washington, and North Dakota. Jerrod has been a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God since 1996.
What We Believe
We are a Bible-believing church in which we gladly declare that:
  • Jesus saves. Jesus saves us from our sins. He is the only way.
  • Jesus heals. Jesus heals us from sin and sickness. We pray for God to heal people regularly.
  • Jesus baptizes in the Holy Spirit. God has given followers of Jesus the promise that we can be filled with power to be witnesses in our life through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus is coming again. Jesus promises to return. We eagerly await that day. Until then, we are to be obedient to Him and His teachings.
Our church is affiliated with the General Council of the Assemblies of God headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. As such, we also subscribe to the 16 Fundamental Truths found at the link above.

We have people who attend from all different kinds of church backgrounds, as well as people with no church background. We welcome anyone who wants to discover who Jesus is and grow in relationship with Him.
